How can I get to know St Paul’s?

Worship

Come to one of our three weekly worship services: Saturdays at 5 pm and Sundays at 8:30 & 11 am

  • The services on Saturday at 5 pm and on Sunday at 8:30 am follow the Lutheran liturgy, with traditional hymns led by the organ. You’ll be with about 50 others on Saturday and closer to 100 on Sunday.
  • The style of worship on Sunday at 11:00 am alternates between a traditional and a blended service.  The blended ‘New Praise’ service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays combines contemporary Christian music with a liturgical format.  We follow the traditional liturgy and hymns on the other Sundays of the month. Attendance is around 100.
  • We offer Bible and topical classes for children, youth, and adults between the two Sunday services.

You can come to Worship more-or-less as you are…you will see everything from shorts to suits.  You can sit in front or hide in the back; we won’t shine a spotlight on you, but we hope you will find a comfortable welcome.

We take seriously Jesus’ words at the Last Supper, and celebrate Holy Communion and all regular worship services and many special services.  We invite everyone to come forward during this portion of the service, to receive the Sacrament if you are in accord with our understanding of the Lord’s Supper, or to receive a spoken blessing if you are unsure for any reason.

We are handicap-accessible and offer assistive listening devices.

Education, Fellowship, and Service

Come to one of our smaller periodic gatherings like our Men’s Breakfast or Women’s Bible Study.  Give our Choir or New Praise contemporary worship musical group a try…no obligation!  These and other recurring events are listed at the bottom of this page.

If you like to jump in here and there, we have once-a-year events like our Victorian Streetwalk music outreach in December and our Vacation Bible School in the summer.  You can also watch our list of Special Events (at right, and also on the Home Page)  for a picnic, game night, or other one-time event.

Families, children, and youth

If you have young kids then check out our Christian Childhood Center, which serves over 100 kids each week with Preschool and Extended Day Care for ages 18 months through pre-kindergarten.

Our Youth have servant hearts and would love to welcome new friends.  Our Children’s Ministries are blessed with kids who have a child’s love for Jesus.

In need of help, and helping others

Our Human Care ministry team assists over 200 families by providing needed words of encouragement, prayer, and Christian love, along with some of life’s daily necessities.  Our Stephen Ministers can help you through difficult spiritual and emotional times.  Do you need help?  Do you know someone who needs help?  Are you called to give help?

We periodically offer a Getting Started class as an introduction to Christianity, Lutherans, and St Paul’s.  Contact us for more information.  Pastor Adam, Pastor Ethan, or any one of us would welcome the opportunity to meet you, show you around St Paul’s, and help you find your place.
