WE BELIEVE

St. Paul's is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, and that it is to be the sole basis of our beliefs. The Bible teaches that God created man in His perfect image, but man rejected God, risking eternal separation from Him. But…

"...God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall have eternal life." -- John 3:16

GOD'S FAMILY

"Now you are a body of Christ, and each of you is a part of it."

WHO WE ARE

St. Paul's is a Christian community of faith founded upon the news of God's forgiving love in Jesus Christ. To bring more people into harmony with God, with themselves and with others through the proclamation of the Word of God, the administration of the Sacraments, and the personal demonstration of God's love.

Vision Statement

A BRIEF HISTORY OF ST. PAUL'S

1894 - The German Evangelical Church held its first service on October 14th with 35 people in attendance. The service was conducted by Pastor Theodore Schulze of Zion Lutheran Church, Schenectady.

1900 - St. Paul's moved to what is now the Soul Saving Station on Henry Street.

1960 - St. Paul's moved to its present home at 149 Lake Avenue.

1995 - We began our second century of ministry by dedicating a newly expanded, renovated, and handicap accessible worship and education facility.

1996 - Opening of the new Christian Childhood Center, Fall 1996.

2000 - Called an Associate Pastor for Family Life & Youth Ministry, Spring 2000.

GROWING

On December 3, 1995 we dedicated an expanded and renovated worship and education facility to the "greater glory of God." The project eases access to the building, and made possible, in the fall of 1996, the opening of St. Paul's Christian Childhood Center (Pre-School for 3 & 4 Year olds and Pre-Kindergarten.)

On May 21, 2000 we celebrated the installation of The Rev. Adam C. Wiegand as Associate Pastor for Family Life & Youth Ministry. Who knows what other new ministries the Lord has in store for us?
